May Music List

 Cool New Music for May 2009!

Lionel Richie offers up another album, “Just Go“ .  First impression is that its a good follow-up from his come back album back in 2007.   Wayman Tisdale is on the list with his “Rebound” album from a few years back for those of you who didn’t know about his talent for Jazz.  Christette Michelle has a new one called Epiphany, her follow-up to “I Am”.  She wrote a few songs herself on this album and had help with the other songs from Ne-Yo and Chuck Harmony.

For Hip-Hop/Rap, there is the misunderstood Eminem with “Relapse“.  And the convict Busta Rhymes is back with “Back on My BS“.   Also this month by request I’ve tried to included some Gospel and Gospel Jazz artist; Ben Tankard (Mercy, Mercy, Mercy) and Joe Pace (Joe Pace Presents: Sunday Morning Service), as well as a nice compilation of Afro-Cuban Jazz.  Check those out if you want to listen to something different.

Finally my “Pick” CD’s for the month is Case with The Rose Experience and the self-titled album from Brutha.

New DVD’s

Over the next couple of weeks, a ton of DVD’s will be released for the summer.  So far this month:

Valkyrie (Single-Disc Edition), Paul Blart: Mall Cop, The International, Revolutionary Road, Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail (Fullscreen Edition)
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, and Defiance.

I dont have any particular recomendations for any of these.  If anyone has seen these and would like to offer an opionion, pleae feel free to do so below.
